Abstract

Purpose: This Phenomenological study aims provide to understanding of the conflict experience of adult learner in college life.

Methods: The participants of this study were 7 adult learners who admission into a college. Data were collected from April, 2014 to August, 2015. A phenomenological analytic method by Giorgi.

Results: In this study, four component were extracted; ¡°Difficulty of the formation and maintenance of relationship¡±, ¡°Difficulty in adapting to campus life¡±, ¡°Burden about special role¡±, ¡°Become deeper internal conflict for reality¡±.

Conclusion: This study shows that the adult learner combined to conflict of internal and external can see that the quality of life declined. On the basis of this findings, mental health occupational therapy program for improving the quality of life for adult learner.
